2020 Equestrian Northern Territory Championships

The Coronavirus Pandemic has faced us with many challenges.  One of them, the closure of the NT borders, and being unable to bring in, visiting interstate judges and course designers

Our state championships for dressage, jumping and show horse are the pinnacle events of the equestrian calendar, providing world class judges, course designers and the nations highest qualified show horse judges.

Being unable to provide our members with the required officials to officiate the various championships, and wanting to maintain the prestige of the event, the ENT Board has made the heartfelt decision not to run the championships during 2020.

Whilst our home-grown judges and course designers are more than capable to officiate at our championships, the use of state-based officials does not comply with the EA National Dressage Rules nor the EA National Show Horse Rules.

In accordance with the EA National Jumping Rules, the jumping championships could proceed.  However, based on feedback from our jumping discipline committee they considered their championships warranted a highly accredited and experienced course designer to maintain the prestige of the event.

At present our established organising committees are considering if they will host an event on the dedicated ENT Championships set dates.  If so, those events will be delivered by the:  Darwin Dressage Club, Darwin Show Jumping Club and ENT Show Horse.
