CORONAVIRUS (COVID-19) UPDATE 1 MAY 2020

EQUESTRIAN NORTHERN TERRITORY STATEMENT CORONAVIRUS (COVID-19) UPDATE 1 MAY 2020

Equestrian NT (ENT) continued priority is the safety of our members and the community.

Further to our statement issued yesterday, there are important updates for Stage 1 & Stage 2 of the Northern Territory Government's three-stage process to ease coronavirus related restrictions.

Our affiliated clubs and coaches have been provided the updated information, which is in relation to competitions and time restrictions.

The updates are positive and do not impact the return of the sport of equestrian in the Territory.

We also like to share a congratulatory message from the Heritage, Libraries and Sport Executive Director Phillip Leslie.  He would like to thank everyone involved in sport and recreation in the Territory for their magnificent effort, attitude and behaviours during this challenging time, which has resulted the Territory leading the nation in re-opening community sport – well done!

Philip would also like to stress that we are not quite there yet, and we must do as good as job managing out of the situation.  The NT is the national test case, all eyes are on us – keep up the excellent work!

Updated Q&As have been published on the Department of Tourism, Sport and Culture website
