Indigenous Junior Sportswomen of the Year Lalwa May

Congratulations to Lalwa May winning her nominated category Indigenous Junior Sportswoman of the Year, announced during the inaugural REPRESENT! Indigenous Sports Awards on Saturday evening.

Lalwa acknowledgment not only celebrates her achievements as an Indigenous athlete, is also an honour for the sport of equestrian to recognise one of our athletes for their skill and accomplishments.

A testament to her dedication saw Lalwa back to Freds Pass early Sunday morning competing in Jumping, being a role model for our up-and-coming athletes at Pony Club.

Lalwas attention now turns as team captain leading the NT Interschool Team to compete at the 2023 Marcus Oldham Australian Interschool Championships, in Victoria next month, representing their beloved Northern Territory.

Part of this journey Lalwa and her team are busily raising much needed funds to support the trip.  If you’d like to learn more about becoming a part of the team as a supporter, please visit the ENT website by clicking here.

Alternatively, you can email the team manager, Sheena Huppatz at [email protected]

Congratulations, Lalwa wishing you all the best and success with your future endeavours.
